Chalkboard d.i.y.

I love the chalkboard craze and plan to keep enjoying these easy and fun diy’s long after the fad has passed.

It took a long time before I finally took a leap of faith and bought my own chalk paint but, oh, am I ever glad I did! I have two chalkboards hanging in my living room and change the word with the season.

Here are a few pictures of the process. If you are timid and afraid of being creative making chalkboard prints will definitely aid you and “give you wings!” πŸ™‚

After you have wiped your board clean, sharpened your chalk and drawn to your heart’s content be sure to wipe away any extra smudges or smears.

Then hang your beautiful creation and drink a cup of coffee to it — you’re an artist! πŸ˜‰

  1. love this! and yes, I'm afraid I will be having chalk boards long after they go "out of fashion" – I love how they can make something more fancy or something more causal!

  2. Very pretty!

We have a chalkboard up in our kitchen that we use for weekly memory verses. I've been wanting to make up one for a weekly menu, as well. I don't think they will ever go out of style for our house either. πŸ˜€

    Have a wonderfully blessed day!

  3. * Oh, thank you, Miss Elizabeth!! It is such a fun, easy way to decorate and make beautiful things!

    * Miss Charis, I so understand! I can't seem to get enough of them. πŸ™‚

    * Angel, thank you! I think we all should make a chalkboard mail exchange group … since we love them so much! πŸ˜‰ Also the "Let's be Adventurers, Darling" in your house I *so* adorable … is that a chalkboard?
