Choosing Jesus //Coffee Series

Coffee With You SeriesWhatever season of life you are in I want to remind you that you are loved, watched over and without equal in the eye’s of the Father.

Lately, life has felt busy. My normally relaxed schedule has been tightened and we have had several days of visitors, visiting and head colds. 🙂 My introverted self is reeling from lack of quiet and artsy time. My soul is beginning to feel drained.

But my faithful Heavenly Father has never once left me because He felt tired. With the weight of the whole universe He patiently waits for me to look up to Him with my small cares. Without fail He provides and gives exactly what we need.

When our fuel pump went out in the Golden Steed we couldn’t help but see the hand of God. How kind that He let the problems occur while we were visiting family. It was the perfect time to leave our vehicle behind and borrow another while the trusty, kind mechanic went to work.

How good God was to allow my head cold to arrive the very week I had taken off school. Instead of the agony of having to work while sick, or taking a sick day, I was able to rest and recuperate at my own speed.

And how gracious He is that He enabled me to be refreshed and encouraged during the coolest day of the summer. Lesson plans, blog posts and crafting are all the rage in our little house and it is good to know that even these gifts come from my Abba Daddy.

So, sweet one, wherever you are in life I encourage you to look up. Lift your discouraged eyes to the Lord and trust knowing that He will “refresh the weary and satisfy the faint.” Choose Jesus and enjoy the beauty and rest which naturally grows.

With so much love and coffee,

Oh Frannie, as I sit peering through swollen, bloodshot eyes, listening to the pouring thunderstorm outside and trying to focus on my professor discussing the neural outputs of the ventral cochlear nucleus …

    I needed this. 🙂

I love you. I’m so glad you’re feeling better, and I praise God that He is refreshing your spirit and filling you with His inexplicable peace in the midst of the busyness. I have not been taking the time that I should to fellowship with Him this month; and my spirit is definitely feeling it. But He has brought me comfort in spite of myself several days this week, and continues to gently remind me that He is here, right with me, and eager to give me rest whenever I turn to Him.

Have a wonderful weekend, dear friend, and I hope that you’re able to get some physical rest to complement your spiritual rest.

Hugs and pumpkin spice latte to you!!

Oh, my poor, blood-shot eyed friend! I am so happy you are blessed by this.

Also, this comment really encouraged me. I know what it’s like to be so busy you feel like your soul is drained because of lack of Father time. But I also know how true your words are — that our loving Lord takes care of us even on those days.

You are wonderful and such a blessing to me.

      Love to you!

Thanks you for this reminder Frannie, I often times get overwhelmed and it is so important to remember that Jesus is with me through it all. I just need to take a moment to see the amazing life he gives me every day, no matter how busy, and to thank Him. He has touched my soul through you dear friend! Thank you!
