Fall Cleaning 101

I’ve got a lot of exciting plans for the upcoming months; plans that involve family trips, holidays, book fairs, weekend guests, hosting my first ever Pampered Chef party (aren’t I grown-up?) and a few fall-ish plans.

The seasons activities are pushing my procrastinating-self into gear. It’s that time of year again: fall cleaning.

Around here fall cleaning involves emptying out cupboards, wiping out the pantry, dusting light fixtures, trim and doors. Of course the windows will need washing and the flower bed needs to be put to rest, ready for it’s long-winter nap.

So, if you happen to stop by don’t be alarmed by the ruckus, dust amount and smell of vinegar (from my homemade cleaner) filling the house. I’ll be sure to turn down the Christmas music (my cleaning empowerment) and put coffee on for us.

Hopefully, this lovely weekend will also involve the typing of several –amazing — blog posts and the planning out of an upcoming book fair and classroom book vote.

What does your weekend look like?

With so much love, blessings and coffee,

Frannie

  1. Ahhh!!! I started my fall cleaning this week! But I have had to go at in steps because of how busy this season has been. 😀

This weekend will be spent either hunting or cooking. Our church will have fall revival this week and I have been asked to prepare a meal for the speaker and his family. 🙂

Have fun and joyous day cleaning!

    1. You sound like one busy woman! I have loved your newest posts; it really delight my heart to see you growing in strength and health. <3

Hoping you have a freezer full of deer before the season ends!

      Blessings and love!

    1. Hello, Miss Barbara!

I hope this comment finds you well and enjoying your home’s season. I think Spring is when I do my big cleaning but I like to go back over during the Autumn months — my windows are always begging for a washing by then. 🙂

      Blessings to you!

  2. I love fall cleaning! There’s nothing like a crisp fall breeze blowing through the house while all of those little spaces you forget about get decluttered and dusted! I love how you listen to Christmas music while you clean, I will have to try that. 🙂
This weekend is a time to relax with my hubby and enjoy each other while our girl is at her Grandma and Grandpa’s house. We have spent a wonderful lazy day together playing video games, shopping, drinking chai lattes and looking at books at B&N and taking a long beautiful fall walk.
I will be fall cleaning this week and I will put on some Christmas music and think of you!

    1. Hello, sweet Amy!

You have such a way with words! Yes, you are right on the beauty of fresh fall breezes and the cleaning out of corners and crannies normally ignored. 🙂

I know we’ve already chatted about your date weekend but I am still so glad you enjoyed it! I think quiet moments with our hubbies are important and maybe it helped prepare you for the long week of sickness you’ve had lately!

Hope you are doing well and enjoying this lovely Sunday!

  3. I’ll be doing some fall cleaning soon, but not in our own place. I clean a friend’s house once a month. My weekend was too full of babysitting some of my favorite little ones for any cleaning at all 🙂

    1. Hello, Kelsey!

I bet you are a lifesaver for your friend! And I love your sweet attitude about your busy schedule — keep on, girl! ;D

Also, I read a bit of your latest blog post. Trusting in our Lord is such an integral part of our walk in life and it’s a lesson we keep learning. I’m so thankful He is big enough to be trusted and then kind enough to direct our paths! Thank you for the reminder! !

      Much love to you!
